Florida Records Storage CenterAbout the Records CenterThe Florida Records Storage Center offers state and local government agencies low-cost storage, reference service, and disposal of inactive paper records; security microfilm and electronic records storage; and microfilming services. The Center's primary function is to serve agency needs for inactive records maintenance and security. The Florida Records Storage Center is a state-of-the-art facility with a storage capacity of over 250,000 cubic feet (equivalent to sixteen football fields) and two climate controlled vaults for secure storage of microfilm and magnetic media. Paper Records Storage
Delivery & Pickup ScheduleThe Records Center provides reference services for paper records stored in its warehouse. Customers may request whole boxes or specific files from their boxes. There is a 12-item limit per day per customer. Reference requests received by 3:00 p.m. will be delivered the next business day. There is no daily limit on refile requests. The Records Center sells flat boxes in bundles of 25. Flat box orders will be delivered within five working days. If the delivery schedule does not meet the customers needs, they may contact the center to arrange pickup or drop off of their records. Requests for accession of new boxes into the Records Center will be completed within seven working days, provided the submitted information is accurate and complete. Security Microfilm & Magnetic Media StorageSecurity Microfilm Storage ProgramThe Records Center provides secure off-site storage for microfilm and microfiche at minimal cost. Services include microfilm inspection, reference service and disposition. Film is stored in fireproof, climate-controlled vaults and protected from degradation through storage in acid-free boxes. Magnetic Media Storage ProgramThe Records Center provides off-site storage for magnetic media, such as tapes, disks, and cartridges at minimal cost. The records are stored in secure, climate-controlled vaults that maintain optimum temperature and humidity levels.
